This seven drawer tool cabinet was designed to be customized from the beginning. If you have access to a CNC or laser, the skeleton can be made very simply with the finishing surfaces cut from whatever material you like. Or, if you’d prefer to go at it manually, all of the dimensions are provided as well. This is an intermediate project. The construction methods match our Giant Machinist Chest so this is another opportunity to play with scale if you’d like a mini version.

Required Tools:

This whiskey gift box is a simple build great for someone wanting to get some practice with box making techniques. It can easily be modified to suit whatever you want to put inside and customized with some carving, reclaimed wood selection, or cool finishes.

This box is a hefty holder for 24 standard sized 12oz beverage bottles (2 ⅝” square openings). Customize the materials and handle to suit your style and skill set. Metal working tools are not required, but would be necessary to match the build exactly as presented in the video. This project is intermediate level as designed, but it is approachable for beginners that are comfortable at the table saw.

The Walnut File Cabinet is a stylized piece of functional office furniture that would look great in any work from home space. Material selection and the cosmetic shape on the drawer fronts are great customizable features to make it match your style. This is an intermediate project that would be a great introduction into drawer construction.

This classic DiResta build is great for your haunted house this October, but would also keep those neighborhood kids out of your tool shed. Jimmy makes the toe-pincher shape surprisingly achievable for intermediate level woodworkers. Optional metal handles included for those with the ability and tools to weld and grind.
